The Greek Space Ecosystem Catalogue (the “Portal”), available at https://www.space-ecosystem.gr/, is an initiative of the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, the Hellenic Space Center, the Hellenic Space Technologies and Applications Cluster (si-Cluster), the Hellenic Association of Space Industries (HASI) and the European Space Agency Business Incubator Centre in Greece (ESA BIC Greece).
The Portal provides a structured, publicly accessible gateway to the Greek space sector, helping users discover organisations, capabilities, products, services and partnerships, and supporting collaboration, visibility and evidence-based policy for the development of the national space sector. Part of the information that organisations enter into the Portal may be extracted and used in print or electronic promotional materials concerning the Greek space ecosystem.
The Portal is operated and technically maintained on behalf of the initiative by the Hellenic Space Centre (the “Operator”), with technical implementation by JNP. This Regulation sets out the procedures and terms for the proper use of the Portal by participating organisations.
Eligibility. Only organisations established in Greece and active in the space sector may submit content for inclusion in the Portal.
Free public access. The Portal may be freely consulted by the public without the need for registration. Registration is required only for organisations wishing to submit or manage a listing.
Instructions. Detailed instructions for joining the Portal and for updating data are provided on the Portal and [on the Operator’s website, in the relevant section — specify].
Demonstrating space-sector activity. To be included, an organisation must demonstrate that it carries out activity relating to the space sector (for example, at least one relevant contract — including as a subcontractor — or documented research and development activity in the space field). Start-ups must nevertheless provide evidence that their activities are connected to the space sector.
Demonstrating the link to space. All organisations, including start-ups, must make clear in the description of their profile and/or activities the link with the space sector — for example, that part of their activities rely on technologies or data of space origin, are intended for space activities, or arise from technology transfer (spin-off/spin-in).
Acceptance of this Regulation and request for credentials. The uploading of an organisation’s data is the exclusive responsibility of that organisation and may begin only after express acceptance of this Regulation. Acceptance must be sent by email to [official contact email] with the subject line “Acceptance of the Greek Space Ecosystem Catalogue Regulation”. The same email must identify the reference person(s) authorised to receive access credentials, together with their name, email address and organisation telephone number. Acceptance is required once, on first inclusion, and again whenever the reference person(s) change.
Responsibility for accuracy. Each organisation is solely and legally responsible for the truthfulness, accuracy and lawfulness of the data it submits in relation to its own profile.
Issuance of credentials. The reference contact(s) identified under clause 6 will receive confidential access credentials at the email address provided, in order to access and operate within the Portal.
Updating profiles. An organisation may at any time enter, update or modify its profile by logging into the Portal with its own credentials; such changes become visible after the Portal administrator […….] approves it. Where significant changes occur (for example, a change of legal name), the organisation should update the information promptly.
Images and videos of identifiable persons. For any images or videos submitted that depict identifiable individuals, the organisation warrants that it has obtained all necessary authorisations and consents for their use within the Portal and any related promotional materials. The Operator and the […..] assume no responsibility for claims by individuals depicted in material supplied by the organisation.
Deletion of a profile. An organisation may request deletion of its profile from the Portal by sending an email from its organisation address to [official contact email] with the subject line “Request for deletion from the Greek Space Ecosystem Catalogue”. Deletion from the Portal will take place promptly. Information already reproduced in any printed or previously distributed materials will be removed only from subsequent editions.
Annual update and inactivity. Organisations will be invited periodically to review and update their profile. If an organisation does not confirm, modify or update its profile in response to such a request and any subsequent reminders, its profile may be temporarily hidden. [After a maximum of [e.g. four] months] from the last request, the Operator reserves the right to remove the profile from the Portal.
Cessation of activity. Organisations undertake to notify the Operator promptly of any cessation of their activities, so that their data may be updated or their profile removed.
Use for promotion of the sector. By uploading their profile, organisations agree that the submitted data may be used by the Operator and the co-operating bodies on national and international occasions for the promotion, description and dissemination of information about the Greek space industry sector.
Economic and employment information. Any economic and employment-related information of the organisations will not be published and will be processed only in aggregate form and for statistical purposes.
Each organisation as data controller. Each organisation remains the data controller for the personal data contained in the information it independently submits to the Portal, and guarantees that any such processing is carried out lawfully, fairly and transparently, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019, including obtaining the consent of data subjects where required.
Information duties towards data subjects. Each organisation undertakes to provide, as far as it is responsible, the information required under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR to the data subjects whose personal data it submits.
No charge. Participation in the Portal and inclusion in the Greek Space Ecosystem Catalogue are free of charge.
By accepting this Regulation, the organisation expressly:
declares that it joins the initiative relating to the Greek Space Ecosystem Catalogue;
accepts this Regulation as published on the Portal [and on the Operator’s website];
authorises:
the publication of the information uploaded to the Portal, including its logo and any photographs depicting persons, within the Portal and in any annual editions or updates of related promotional materials concerning the Greek space ecosystem;
the dissemination of such information in both electronic and, where applicable, printed form, through the Portal and the channels of the Operator and the co-operating bodies (Ministry of Digital Governance and AI, Hellenic Space Center, si-Cluster, HASI, ESA BIC Greece) and other media;
where images submitted do not meet the indicated quality criteria or are not provided in the required number, their possible integration, modification or updating, including by drawing on a database of stock images relating to the space field available to the Operator;
a linguistic and grammatical review of the texts submitted, in order to correct typographical errors and inaccuracies and to ensure a more accurate and consistent editorial presentation, without altering their substantive meaning.
The processing of personal data in connection with the Portal is described in the Portal’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form an integral part of the framework governing the use of the Portal. This Regulation, and any dispute arising from it, are governed by Greek law and the applicable European Union law, including the GDPR.
