REDAR is a Greek deep-tech company developing lightweight optical sensing payloads for unmanned aerial vehicles, bringing space-grade measurement technology to terrestrial applications. Our first product is a methane and greenhouse-gas instrument that measures emissions through laser absorption rather than chemical reaction, identifying and quantifying leaks at their source across energy, industrial and waste sites. Engineered as a compact payload for integration on standard UAV platforms, it enables mobile, source-level emissions monitoring that fixed and handheld methods cannot provide. The system is built around a single modular optical core: by reconfiguring the sensing module, the same platform extends across environmental monitoring, industrial safety and defence, allowing one engineering effort to serve multiple civil and dual-use markets. Incubated at ESA BIC Greece, REDAR has a working demonstrator validated in both laboratory and field conditions and is now advancing toward a flight-ready instrument.
