Angely is a Greek technology-transfer startup developing a passive system for detecting concealed weapons at a distance without disrupting the flow of people in public spaces. Its technology combines magnetic-field measurement and modelling with neural-network-based image processing. The company’s space connection is fundamental: its sensing approach derives from technologies and methods originally developed for spacecraft electromagnetic cleanliness, where highly accurate measurement and modelling of magnetic fields are required. The Angely team reports more than a decade of experience in space magnetics, and the company was supported by ESA BIC Greece to transfer this space-derived know-how into civilian security applications such as airports, transport hubs and other open public areas.
