AgroApps is a Greek technology company specialising in digital agriculture, Earth Observation and data-driven decision-support solutions for the agricultural sector. Founded in Thessaloniki in 2015, the company combines agronomy, remote sensing, numerical weather prediction, machine learning and ICT to develop services for farmers, agricultural consultants, agrifood companies, insurers and public-sector organisations. Its technology platform integrates satellite imagery, meteorological data, IoT inputs and crop models to support applications such as crop monitoring, irrigation and water management, climate intelligence, agricultural risk assessment and insurance. Through its in-house Remote Sensing Imagery Hub and advanced analytics capabilities, AgroApps is an active downstream player in the Greek space ecosystem, translating Earth Observation data into practical services for agriculture and environmental management.
CDXi Solutions P.C. is an impact-driven business intelligence company that offers spatial and multi-modal AI analytics to support the twin transition of public and private organizations. CDXi Solutions is a spin-off company of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI), part of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). The company leverages AI and EO to create impactful sustainable solutions that uncover business insights in the domains of:
Water quality: In EU, more than 1.5 million water samples are analysed manually each year, with more than 150,000 being found with high concentrations of organic matter, which may lead to a more severe contamination event. CDXi provides a solution that combines deep tech with satellite data to provide in-sights on the quality of inland water resources.
Aluminium inspection (technology transfer from the space domain): Dross is a byproduct that forms on the surface of molten aluminium and can lead to significant material loss, increased waste, and opera-tional inefficiencies. Currently, dross detection and removal largely depend on manual inspection and ex-perience, which introduces inconsistency and delays. CDXi provides a solution that uses computer vision algorithms to provide insights on the state and condition of the aluminium delacquering process.
Civil protection: Exposure of citizens to potential disasters has led to vulnerable societies that require risk reduction technologies and solutions for monitoring crisis events. CDXi provides a solution that utilizes social media streams to reveal the “hidden” insights that may derive from them in crisis events.
Research interests include hydrodynamics and heat/mass transport in multiphase systems (bubbles and droplet flows in liquids), materials physicochemical characterisation (non-Newtonian rheological/viscosity, surface and interfacial tension, wettability/surface energy, thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, heat capacity, structural characterisation, roughness, and coherence of foams, emulsions, and biofilms, etc.), innovative electrical diagnostics, water and wastewater quality monitoring and treatment, computational fluid dynamics, etc. Has coordinated or participated in more than 100 international (including 25 ESA) and national research projects. Additionally, the members are highly experienced in low gravity research. Specifically, researchers have: a) participated in 2 experiments performed onboard the International Space Station (RUBI: Reference Multiscale Boiling Experiment and PASTA: Particle Stabilised Emulsions and Foams) and b) studied experimentally heat transfer and bubbles/drops dynamics under zero gravity conditions, participating in 10 ESA Parabolic Flight Campaigns.
KENOTOM focuses on providing embedded engineering services. KENOTOM is active in sectors such as automotive, industrial automation, biomedical, aviation, and space. Its main clients come from the auto-motive sector. For a decade now, the company has been working with some of the biggest Tier-1 automo-tive suppliers and, more recently, with one OEM. Its approach to innovation and quality is centred on con-tinuous improvement and adherence to industry standards. KENOTOM is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the highest benchmarks.
Stellar Phronesis is a Greek deep-tech company developing and licensing scalable RF payload and beamforming technologies based on integrated photonics.
The company develops architectures for the scalable processing and distribution of coherent RF signals across large, adaptive antenna systems, addressing the increasing bandwidth, capacity, flexibility and reconfiguration requirements of next-generation satellite communications and Earth-observation payloads. Its technology combines RF photonics, photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and intelligent control software, while remaining compatible with established RF front ends and system-integration workflows.
By transferring demanding RF signal-processing and distribution functions from conventional electronic hardware to photonic integrated circuits, Stellar Phronesis enables antenna and payload architectures to scale without equivalent growth in power consumption, size, weight, thermal burden and implementation complexity. The resulting architecture supports wide instantaneous bandwidth, large numbers of coherent RF channels and dynamic reconfiguration under the stringent SWaP constraints of space systems.
The technology is particularly relevant to satellite communication and multichannel Earth-observation payloads, large phased-array antennas and other advanced RF systems where increasing aperture size, bandwidth and spatial-resource requirements place growing demands on conventional electronic beamforming architectures.
Stellar Phronesis works with space-industry partners through feasibility studies, system co-development, technology integration and IP and software licensing, supporting the development of next-generation RF payload and antenna systems.
