ELFON started as a manufacturer of innovative electronic components, and in 1979 it focused on the aer-ospace and security industries. Since then, it has built parts for major European and U.S. Aviation, Space, and Defence companies, as well as the armed forces of Greece. ELFON specializes in manufacturing wir-ing harnesses, cabling, and electromechanical assemblies. ELFON is also associated with a certified pool of subcontractors that can perform electronics design and manufacturing, metal processing, and sur-face treatment, thus being able to act as an integrator and project coordinator. ELFON possesses a strong heritage in the manufacturing of space flight HW. The company is at TRL8, as it has built mechanical structures and wiring harnesses that are installed on spacecraft scheduled for launch in 2026. Its facilities allow the construction of large, clean structures suitable for flight.

The Industrial Systems Institute (ISI) is a leading R&D institute of excellence conducting basic research and exploratory development on ICT. ISI was established in Patras, Greece, as a non-profit research organisation, operating today under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research & Innovation. Since 2003, ISI has been part of the Athena Research Centre (ARC) as one of its four core research institutes. Its main research areas are: Intelligent Systems & Robotics, Networked Embedded Systems and Real-Time Systems, Production Systems, Processes, and Enterprise Interoperability, Enterprise Information Systems, Security and Protection of Systems, Networks, and Infrastructures, Advanced Materials & Structures.
