ESA BIC Greece (European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre Greece) is ESAβs business incubator in Greece and part of the largest space innovation network in the world. Its primary objective is to strengthen the Greek space ecosystem by supporting five new space-related startups every year, either by enabling the transfer of space technologies to non-space markets (spin-off) or by helping innovative companies become suppliers to the space sector (spin-in). The programme offers a comprehensive incubation and support package combining business coaching, technical expertise, networking, access to funding opportunities, and legal and commercial support, helping startups accelerate technology development and progress from business idea to commercialisation. ESA BIC Greece also contributes to national innovation and space strategies by promoting the uptake of space-based services, facilitating technology transfer to and from the space sector, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting job creation and economic growth. ESA BIC Greece is operated by Corallia, a unit of the Athena Research Center, with the support of the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance and a broad network of more than 70 organisations from industry, academia, research, finance and the wider innovation ecosystem.

insigh.io is revolutionizing enterprise IoT adoption through its application-agnostic technology stack that transforms fragmented IoT development into streamlined managed services. The technology addresses sector-agnostic challenges through three foundational pillars: a) Intelligent HW Layer: Modular IoT Connectors retrofit existing sensors with intelligent edge capabilities through configurable electronics and embedded SW. The devices enable plug-and-play deployment of custom sensing, control logic, and communication without HW redesigns. b) Global Connectivity Fabric: The platform ensures universal device access via hybrid terrestrial/satellite networks, maintaining operations in remote areas through low-power direct-to-satellite links. This infrastructure supports real-time data pipe-lines. c) Enterprise Cloud Orchestration: A unified management console lets organizations administer global device fleets, automate data routing to legacy systems, and implement custom analytics workflows through no-code interfaces β eliminating traditional firmware/cloud development cycles.
Proven across five verticals β precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, professional equipment optimization, waste and buildings management β the technology now expands to other domains. By abstracting technical complexity, we enable businesses to operationalize IoT strategies within weeks rather than years, shifting focus from implementation challenges to data-driven decision-making.

ISD is active in defence and space applications. ISD has been involved with space activities since 2007.
LΓβ¦ Space Photonics R&D (LEO-SPRD) is a fabless designer and developer of high-performance optical interconnect solutions, predominantly for space as well as diverse harsh environment applications. The companyβs optical interconnect transceiver chipsets are designed according to radiation-hardened IC de-sign processes and fabricated within high-end European semiconductor foundries. The products are speci-fied to meet stringent system SWaP (size, weight & power) requirements of modern photonics-enabled very high throughput satellite communication payloads.
MoistX provides high-resolution soil moisture data and insights by combining satellite Earth Observation data (SAR, multispectral, thermal, GNSS-R) with ground measurements using machine learning, delivered through scalable cloud-based APIs.
OHB Hellas mon. EPE, a subsidiary of the German multinational technology group OHB SE, has been operating in Greece since July 2018. OHB Hellas is owned 100% by OHB SE. The establishment of this company follows the signed MoU in December 2017 with the Greek State. OHB has responded to the interest of the Greek State to have an experienced and recognised system integrator based in Greece. The objectives and vision of the company are a) to support the Greek space ecosystem with the expertise and strategic advice from a system integrator perspective, b) to design and integrate satellite systems and subsystems in Greece, c) to become a European centre of expertise in high performance data processing subsystems for satellites.
REDAR is a Greek deep-tech company developing lightweight optical sensing payloads for unmanned aerial vehicles, bringing space-grade measurement technology to terrestrial applications. Our first product is a methane and greenhouse-gas instrument that measures emissions through laser absorption rather than chemical reaction, identifying and quantifying leaks at their source across energy, industrial and waste sites. Engineered as a compact payload for integration on standard UAV platforms, it enables mobile, source-level emissions monitoring that fixed and handheld methods cannot provide.
The system is built around a single modular optical core: by reconfiguring the sensing module, the same platform extends across environmental monitoring, industrial safety and defence, allowing one engineering effort to serve multiple civil and dual-use markets. Incubated at ESA BIC Greece, REDAR has a working demonstrator validated in both laboratory and field conditions and is now advancing toward a flight-ready instrument.
Satways Ltd. is a privately held organisation based in Athens, Greece, with annexes in Patras and Volos, and a presence in Germany. The company is developing mission-critical C3I/C4I, situational-awareness, decision-support and advanced sensing solutions for defence, public safety, civil protection, smart cities and critical infrastructure protection.
For the space domain, Satways acts primarily as a downstream and system-integration technology provider, transforming satellite-enabled services and heterogeneous sensor information into actionable operational intelligence. Its ENGAGE platform can integrate Earth Observation products, satellite communications, terrestrial and maritime sensors, unmanned platforms, field personnel and external information services into a unified Common Operational Picture supporting mission planning, incident management, alerting, resource coordination and operational decision-making.
Satways capabilities are particularly relevant to GOVSATCOM and resilient communications, Copernicus and Earth Observation exploitation, disaster and emergency management, maritime and border surveillance, critical infrastructure monitoring, multi-domain situational awareness and space-enabled defence applications. The company can also combine space-derived information with its own passive sensing technologies, including seismic sensors, Distributed Acoustic Sensing and underwater acoustic systems, enabling complementary spaceβairβgroundβsea surveillance architectures.
Through its participation in European collaborative R&D and defence programmes, Satways is well positioned to contribute to IRISΒ²/GOVSATCOM-enabled services, secure and resilient mission communications, EO-based decision support, multi-sensor data fusion, AI-assisted operational awareness and downstream space applications for security and defence.
TRIMSIGNAL is a Greek semiconductor and embedded-systems company, incubated at ESA BIC Greece, specialising in hardware-accelerated deterministic signal processing on FPGA/SoC platforms for space and space-related instrumentation. The company designs and delivers complete electronic subsystems where precision timing is the decisive resource: real-time receivers for coherent wind LiDAR supporting calibration and validation of spaceborne atmospheric sensors, payload electronics and ground digital receivers for optical and quantum communication links, and data acquisition and processing chains built to CCSDS and ECSS practice. Its current LiDAR receiver subsystem, developed under the ESA BIC programme, has reached TRL 7 as an operational prototype: sixteen parallel processing pipelines, end-to-end latency below 50 microseconds, inter-pipeline synchronization below 10 ps RMS, within a 10 to 13 W power envelope. The company’s second technology pillar is Dynamic Frequency Boosting (US Patent 10,740,519 B2), a cycle-level clock adaptation technique that raises computational throughput and energy efficiency in digital ICs and FPGAs by adjusting the clock frequency to the paths actually active at execution time, recovering the worst-case timing margins that conventional synchronous design pays on every cycle. Applied to radiation-tolerant devices, whose silicon trails commercial nodes, DFB translates directly into performance per watt, the scarcest resource of small satellite payloads.
