AUTONOMA is a technology-oriented company focusing on research and development of methods and systems that aim on enhancing the autonomy of current and future unmanned systems. The company is staffed by research engineers and university professors capable of developing innovative autonomy solutions utilizing state-of-the-art technology and research. AUTONOMA develops cutting-edge software solutions for AI-based autonomous decision-making, planning and perception for unmanned systems. Those solutions aim to increase the autonomy and capabilities of unmanned systems and, therefore, in-crease the system’s performance while reducing the required human effort for the system’s operation. AUTONOMA was founded with the aim to develop and commercialize innovative and high-end technology solutions for unmanned vehicles, by leveraging on the strong technological backgrounds of its team. Those products shall contribute to the innovation growth of multiple innovative and disruptive domains, like swarming, autonomous operations, and decision making.

AviSense develops AI and augmented reality tools that help people detect hidden hazards, anticipate risks and make safer decisions. We combine information from cameras, sensors and satellites into a clear, shared view, with timely alerts and visual guidance for operators and field teams.

Our mission is to make complex environments—such as cities, airports and industrial sites—safer and easier to manage. Our vision is a future where teams have the information they need to prevent incidents before they happen.

A spin-off of the University of Patras and Athena Research Center, AviSense combines strong research foundations with hands-on experience in AI, computer vision, sensor fusion and augmented reality. Through Horizon Europe projects, the ESA BIC Greece programme and real-world demonstrations, we translate advanced technology into practical tools that address operational needs.
