All Climate & Environmental Intelligence in Regional Unit of North Athens

REDAR is a Greek deep-tech company developing lightweight optical sensing payloads for unmanned aerial vehicles, bringing space-grade measurement technology to terrestrial applications. Our first product is a methane and greenhouse-gas instrument that measures emissions through laser absorption rather than chemical reaction, identifying and quantifying leaks at their source across energy, industrial and waste sites. Engineered as a compact payload for integration on standard UAV platforms, it enables mobile, source-level emissions monitoring that fixed and handheld methods cannot provide.

The system is built around a single modular optical core: by reconfiguring the sensing module, the same platform extends across environmental monitoring, industrial safety and defence, allowing one engineering effort to serve multiple civil and dual-use markets. Incubated at ESA BIC Greece, REDAR has a working demonstrator validated in both laboratory and field conditions and is now advancing toward a flight-ready instrument.

Satways Ltd. is a privately held organisation based in Athens, Greece, with annexes in Patras and Volos, and a presence in Germany. The company is developing mission-critical C3I/C4I, situational-awareness, decision-support and advanced sensing solutions for defence, public safety, civil protection, smart cities and critical infrastructure protection.

For the space domain, Satways acts primarily as a downstream and system-integration technology provider, transforming satellite-enabled services and heterogeneous sensor information into actionable operational intelligence. Its ENGAGE platform can integrate Earth Observation products, satellite communications, terrestrial and maritime sensors, unmanned platforms, field personnel and external information services into a unified Common Operational Picture supporting mission planning, incident management, alerting, resource coordination and operational decision-making.

Satways capabilities are particularly relevant to GOVSATCOM and resilient communications, Copernicus and Earth Observation exploitation, disaster and emergency management, maritime and border surveillance, critical infrastructure monitoring, multi-domain situational awareness and space-enabled defence applications. The company can also combine space-derived information with its own passive sensing technologies, including seismic sensors, Distributed Acoustic Sensing and underwater acoustic systems, enabling complementary space–air–ground–sea surveillance architectures.

Through its participation in European collaborative R&D and defence programmes, Satways is well positioned to contribute to IRIS²/GOVSATCOM-enabled services, secure and resilient mission communications, EO-based decision support, multi-sensor data fusion, AI-assisted operational awareness and downstream space applications for security and defence.
